Liz Barnes is the producer of Sounds of the 70s with Johnnie Walker on BBC Radio 2 and she tells Mark and Jenny what it's like to work with a broadcasting legend while taking us through her career which started out in broadcast journalism before moving into music radio. She shares her memories of working at BBC Radio Lancashire, BBC Radio Cumbria, BBC 6Music and Planet Rock, as well as her tips about producing live radio shows and music documentaries.

We’ve enjoyed varied careers in the world of radio and are still fascinated by it, so we set out to make a series in honour of those all-too-often unsung individuals who have one of the most creative, varied, frustrating but ultimately rewarding jobs in media!
