Trevor John Zegras ( ZEE-grəs; born March 20, 2001) is an American professional ice hockey center for the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected ninth overall by the Anaheim Ducks in the 2019 NHL entry draft. Early life. Zegras was born on March 20, 2001, in Bedford, New York to parents of Greek descent, Gary and Julie. He began skating at the age of three and played in the Rising Stars youth program alongside his cousins.
