Star Cruises was a cruise line headquartered in Hong Kong. It operated in the Asia-Pacific market and was owned by Genting Hong Kong. It was the 18th largest cruise line in the world after Carnival Corporation, Royal Caribbean Cruises, and 15 others. The chairman of Star Cruises was Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay, the son of Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong, who had founded Malaysia's Genting Highlands. History. 1992–1999: Founding, acquisitions.
