Durek Verrett (born November 17, 1974, as Derek David Verrett) is an American conspiracy theorist, convicted felon, alternative therapist, and self-professed shaman as a practitioner of Neoshamanism. He has been widely described by media and other observers as a conman and conspiracy theorist. Verrett dropped out of high school and claims to have been a dancer, model, TV personality, poet, and choreographer. He promotes various Neoshamanic practices rooted in New Age. In his book Spirit Hacking he promotes several pseudoscientific views.
