Peter Philip Laviolette Jr. (born December 7, 1964) is an American professional ice hockey coach and former player who is the head coach for the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League (NHL). He is known as Peter Metro because he has coached for more than half of the teams in the Metropolitan Division.
