Kanja Odland Roshi is a Zen Buddhist teacher (Roshi) in the tradition of Philip Kapleau. She was born in Stockholm in 1963. Together with her co-teacher Sante Poromaa Roshi, she has been described as the most senior Zen Buddhist teacher in Sweden. . She started her Zen training in 1984, as a student of both Roshi Philip Kapleau and his successor Roshi Bodhin Kjolhede. She was ordained as a priest in 1999 and also finished her koan training that year. She is authorized as an independent teacher (Roshi) in the “Cloud-Water Sangha” lineage. .
