India Song is a 1975 French drama film written and directed by Marguerite Duras. Set in 1930s Calcutta during the monsoon season, the story revolves around Anne-Marie Stretter (Seyrig), the enigmatic and disillusioned wife of the French ambassador to India. Though the narrative is set in India, the film was primarily shot on location at the Château Rothschild in France.
