Inanna is the ancient Mesopotamian goddess of war, love and fertility. Her primary association was her aspect as goddess of war and queen of heaven. She is also associated with sensuality, procreation, divine law, and political power. She was primarily worshipped in her role as goddess of war and queen of heaven. Originally worshipped in Sumer, she was known by the Akkadian Empire, Babylonians, and Assyrians as Ishtar (and occasionally the logogram 𒌋𒁯).
