Swedish police officer and criminalist (1902–1956)
Harry Söderman (24 August 1902 – 16 March 1956) was a Swedish police officer and criminalist. In his native Sweden, he went by the nickname "Revolver-Harry". Söderman was a pioneer of modern criminology in Scandinavia, and the first head of the National Swedish Criminal Police Registry and Forensic Laboratories between 1939 and 1953. Personal life. Söderman was born in Stockholm as the son of crown bailiff Pehr Söderman and hotel manager Karolina Olivia Sahlin. He was married three times; the last time to veterinarian Ingrid Signe Elisabeth Beckman. He died in Tangier in 1956. Career.
