Carole Angier (born 30 October 1943) is an English biographer. She was born in London and was raised in Canada before moving back to the UK in her early twenties. She spent many years as a teacher, including periods at the Open University and Birkbeck College, University of London. In 2002, she was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. She was educated at McGill, Oxford and Cambridge. She is known for her acclaimed biographies of the writers Jean Rhys and Primo Levi.
