August Konrad Ferdinand Spångberg (29 March 1893 – 19 June 1987) was a Swedish politician who served in the Riksdag (Swedish parliament) for 46 years (1922–1964). Initially elected as the youngest member with the Communists, he later joined the Swedish Social Democratic Party. Spångberg is best known for his resistance work during World War II, assisting Norwegian resistance fighters and helping political refugees escape Nazi-occupied Norway from his position in Charlottenberg on the Swedish-Norwegian border. Among those he helped escape was future German Chancellor Willy Brandt.
