Alan Olav Walker (born 24 August 1997) is a Norwegian DJ and record producer. Raised in Bergen, Norway, he began making music using feedback from his fans online around 2012, subsequently posting several videos on YouTube and SoundCloud. Starting out as a bedroom producer, he was better known as DJ Walkzz before signing a record deal and releasing his debut single "Fade" on NoCopyrightSounds at the age of 17. He later signed with MER Musikk and released "Faded", a rework of "Fade". The single topped the year-end charts in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Sweden.
