If you watched the janky oddity that is the 2017 Death Note movie or the Scarlet Johansson Ghost in the Shell that also came out in 2017 (what a tough year) this is the episode for you! Anime is massive and yet a successful live action adaptation of one that's as good as the source material seems harder to find than the one piece treasure (With One Piece being the exception that breaks the rule) . Jake explains why this is and we all analyze some of the attempts including Cowboy Bebop, the insanity that is the Wachowski's Speed Racer, and yes even Dragon Ball Evolution because we love entertaining you more than we respect ourselves.
