Charli ParkesOn 20th August 2023, the Lionesses fell at the last hurdle in the World Cup. For some deeply troubling psychological reason, this heartbreak was the catalyst for Charli, who had resisted following football all of her life, to become completely obsessed with women’s football. Roping in her partner and lifelong football fan Matt, they found their way into the Women’s Super League via local team Leicester City Women, and the rest, as they say, is history.
