In the winter of 1998 there did not seem to be a more idyllic family than the Trovers in Gillette Wyoming. But in early December of that year the perfection would come to a screeching halt when the family was brutally attacked in their own home. The Trovers had just returned from a night out at a local bar and grill and was preparing for bed when the power to their house was cut, and the nightmare began.
