Hometown Glory with Jess Breach

Hometown Glory with Jess Breach

The Official Brighton and Hove Albion Podcast · 2025-06-17

This week's guest is one of the most exciting talents in Women's rugby and she’s got strong roots right here in Sussex.

Jess Breach grew up in Chichester, picked up a rugby ball at just six years old and hasn’t looked back since. From sprint hurdling to netball, hockey to gymnastics, Jess was a standout athlete long before she pulled on an England shirt.

She burst onto the international scene in jaw-dropping style, scoring six tries on her England debut and five more in her second game, a record few can match.

She’s now got her eyes firmly on the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup, with the AMEX set to host three matches, including England v Australia.

In this episode, we talk home town pride, international rugby and what it means to see women’s sport take centre stage right here in Sussex.
