Hey, welcome to The Morning Story Podcast, I'm your host, Cody Burch and I'd like to tell you a story.

In June 2022 I burned down my marketing agency after 5.5 years to take a 9-5 job with one of my favorite clients.

What I thought was my dream job didn't last, and 6 months later I was abruptly and unceremoniously let go 2 weeks before Christmas.

Suddenly, I found myself digging through the ash heap of my old business looking for an ember.

I found it in my email list.

Since January of that year, 12 months in a row, I sent a short, story based email to my list.

What I didn't realize was the power and depth of relationship I had built with these stories.

For the next few months, I shared my comeback story on social media and with my email list...

Stories of where I had been and where I was headed.

Stories of the mountaintops and the valleys.

Stories of successes and stories of setbacks.

Then, a funny thing happened...

My business was growing faster than I could have imagined.

Nothing quickened my rebound more than storytelling.

And that's what I want to bring to you. Here's how the show works.

Each day, I'll go into my story vault and share a short story with you.

Then, I'll share the story "hook" or theme that you can tell later that day.

That way you never run out of stories to share with your audience.
