Bruno's brilliance, Chelsea thrills and trouble at Tottenham
Gary Neville reflects on Manchester United’s entertaining 5-2 win over Ipswich at Old Trafford, hailing hat-trick hero Bruno Fernandes as the club’s best signing since Sir Alex Ferguson and assessing the exciting attacking options at Michael Carrick’s disposal.
However, Neville warns United’s defensive vulnerabilities could undermine their season and explains why he would like to see the club bring in one or two defenders before the transfer window closes.
Neville also looks at Chelsea’s impressive start and their outstanding attacking options, but questions whether their defence can provide the solidity needed when the goals dry up. He turns his attention to Tottenham after their difficult opening to the season, saying Spurs need to “get a grip of it quite quickly” following defeats to Brentford and Newcastle.
