Straight From The Off welcomes Jamie Carragher to the Podcast. Jamie needs no introduction to football fans of the city, but he tells us how it all came about. From 5 a side in the Brunny club on Marsh Lane to going to Englands national football school at Lilleshall with the best of the best. Jamie played for Merton Villa and Bootle boys as well as Sefton boys, playing against the rival districts including Liverpool Boys. Jamie’s Dad Philly Carragher ran pubs and football teams in the area and ever since he can remember Carra was part of the amateur scene. He tells us his opinion on the academy settings of pro clubs and how parents should view the situation. He Tells us about his best goals, games and all about the lads he shared a pitch with and played against throughout those times.
