Katie Cooper - The first adaptive athlete to race Hyrox Women's Pro
In today's episode we speak to Katie Cooper; the first adaptive athlete to race in the Hyrox Women's Pro category, when she took to the floor in Manchester in January.
An incredibly inspiring lady, she is leading the way for everyone, especially female disabled athletes; she says 'she would have loved to have seen disabled athletes being advertised when she was growing up, so she is here to do just that!"
Katie talks to us about juggling motherhood and training, how she uses her mindset and fitness from her dancing background to push through the tough parts of a Hyrox race, when you really want to stop and what she envisions the future of Hyrox to look like for adaptive athletes.
This was an awesome episode to record and we cannot wait to follow Katies journey as she trains for her next Hyrox race!
