We love Far From Home Diaspora Podcast because it's a space where the teacher's and the students roles are totally fluid. This was one one of the coolest episodes we've had so far because we got to learn from a younger person, Carols beautiful and favorite daughter Anna. Here we were talking about hair. The three of us have very different hair stories. We Carol and Wambui, have more of a trauma based story of how we struggled with our hair before we finally accepted it. It was so beautiful and healing to hear Anna at such a young age talk about her hair with so much love and passion. She said things about hair that we had never even heard before. We didn't hear any need in her to change the nature or context of her hair. WE ARE HEALING PEOPLE!! Thank you so much to the parents😍😍😍, they must have done something right.
