The Draft UK-EU Deal To Scrap Brexit Red Tape

2026-11-03

Today, the UK and EU have agreed a draft deal on removing post-Brexit checks ahead of the UK-EU summit later this month. Adam is joined by economics editor Faisal Islam to look at what the 200-page draft text for this so called "SPS" (sanitary and phytosanitary) agreement could cover.

Also, Chris Mason dials in from Antigua where Andy Burnham is attending the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (Chogm) and the conversation around a "debt reset" to support Commonwealth countries is high on the agenda. Chris also gives his assessment of the fallout from home secretary, Shabana Mahmood’s, revised plans for migration.
