City and Guilds 2365 and 8202 EXPLAINED help for electrical retrainees

City and Guilds 2365 and 8202 EXPLAINED help for electrical retrainees

Apprentice 121 Podcast · 2022-11-15

We discuss the differences to the city and guilds 2365, 8202, EAL and apprenticeship qualifications. Along with the pros and cons to all.

It was interesting to learn the 2365 is not funded for learners while the 8202 is. Also some key differences in the delivery and exam processes.

We also discus the bigger issues around young apprentices ending up on these courses due to a lack of options in terms of apprenticeships.

Its a really difficult nut to crack and eye opening around the miss selling of adult/re-trainee training options.

I hear horror stories every day (no exaggeration) with some success stories mixed in for context.

Please let me know where you are studying and the experiences you have had along the way.

By talking about these things we hope to encourage change.

We also discuss the recent City and Guilds link up with trade skills for you.

Thanks to Richard and Craig for jumping on.
