Ellis, they fiercely engaged troops from the 13th Alabama, 14th Tennessee, and 26th North Carolina Infantry Regiments. Their bravery resulted in the capture of the colors of both the 1st and 14th Tennessee Infantry, and they faced losses of around 60 men killed or wounded. ๐
